Yesterday I posted my October Wrap Up post. If you scroll down to the very next post, you will find it.

My Doable TBR pile consists of books I have picked out that I want to read this month. I didn’t have a great time with my Doable TBR Pile in October, a shocking time actually. I didn’t even get to read one of the two books I put on this list, but I did warn you that that might happen as it was going to be my birthday and I had asked for some great books and really wanted to read those. October, well you have been one hell of a month even if I do say so myself. It has gone by so fast that Christmas is right around the corner. I suppose that happens when you get to the pointy end of the year though, everything seems to just accelerate before your very own eyes and then before you know it, it’s New Year’s Eve and you’ve already spoilt your resolutions. Here are my OCTOBER 2017 books: Continue reading “October 2017 Wrap Up”

At the moment I am reading ‘The Loneliest Girl in the Universe’ by Lauren James.

I got this book as a birthday present from my mother and sister and I have to be honest with you all, I was a bit apprehensive when I realised it was a Lauren James book as I have one of her other ones and I couldn’t get into it enough to read it. But this book is completely different. I am about half way through and am loving it.

What are you guys reading at the moment?

Ever since Esther Solar’s grandfather met Death, her entire family has been cursed to suffer one great fear in their lifetime – a fear that will eventually lead to each and every one of them to their grave. Take Esther’s father, for instance: he’s an agoraphobe who hasn’t left the basement in six years. Then there’s her twin brother, Eugene, whose fear of the dark goes far beyond the things that go bump in the night. And her mother, Rosemary, is terrified of bad luck.
As for Esther, she’s managed to escape the cures…so far. She doesn’t yet have a great fear because she avoids pretty much everything. Elevators, small spaces, crowds – anything that might trigger a phobia is off-limits and is recorded in her semi-definitive list of worst nightmares.
Ester things she has it all figured out, until she’s reunited with an old classmate-and first crush-Jonah Smallwood an unexpected friendship between the two develop and together they face one phobia at a time, only to discover the one fear they hadn’t counted on: love. Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city, a grisly metropolis where the violence has begun to create real and deadly monsters. August just wants to be human, as good-hearted as his own father – but his curse is to be what the humans fear. The thin truce that keeps the Harker’s and Flynn families at peace is crumbling, and an assassination attempt forces Kate and August into a tenuous alliance. But how long will they survive in a city where no one is safe and monsters are real… Continue reading “Book Review – This Savage Song”
