DOable TBR Pile September 2017

Yesterday I posted my August Wrap Up post, if you scroll down to the very next post you will find it.

My Doable TBR pile consists of books I have picked out that I want to read this month. I didn’t have a great time with my Doable TBR Pile in August, a shocking time actually. I read one book on the list and started another but couldn’t finish it. I didn’t even bother with the third one as I didn’t want to ruin a good book whilst trying to read it during a reading slump. DOable TBR Pile 2017 June

Yesterday I posted my May 2017 Wrap up post, if you scroll down just a little bit you can find it.

My Doable TBR pile consists of books I have picked out that I want to read this month. In saying that I read 6 books in all of May. 3 of those books came from my Doable TBR Pile and there was only one on the list that I couldn’t get through. Continue reading “DOable TBR Pile 2017 June”

Doable TBR Pile 2017 May

Yesterday I posted my April 2017 Wrap up post, if you scroll down just a little bit you can find it.

My Doable TBR pile consists of books I have picked out that I want to read this month. In saying that I read 6 books in all of April. One of them was on my Doable TBR, the others I got throughout the month and just had to read them. Luckily, I only had two on my Doable TBR for April and at least I read one of them. DOable TBR Pile 2017 MARCH

Yesterday I posted my February 2017 Wrap up post, if you scroll down just a little bit you can find it.

My Doable TBR pile consists of books I have picked that I want to read this month. In saying that I read almost all the 4 books I had on my February TBR pile. Yay Me!

Here is my Doable TBR Pile February that I posted last month:

  • The Witch’s Tears by Elizabeth and Katharine Corr
  • Valentine by Jodi McAlister*
  • The Impossible Story of Olive in Love by Tonya Alexandra
  • Hannah’s Gift by Maria Housden

A * means that I have started the book and have yet to finish it.

A strikethrough means that I HAVE read it.

How great is that, I read three of the books on my Doable TBR Pile and then some of the books I had brought in Melbourne.

Now here is my Doable TBR Pile for March:

  • Akarnae by Lynette Noni
  • It’s Not Me, It’s You by Stephanie Kate Strohm
  • The Man Who Invented Vegemite by Jamie Callister
  • Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses by Carole Matthews

I think I am going to get through these books and cross them off this time next month. I have two young adult books, one fantasy and one contemporary, one adult fiction and a biography to get me through the month. I’ve almost finished all the books I brought in Melbourne.

So here goes…

Doable TBR 2017 January

So, I changed my mind. I’m not going to carry on my entire TBR Pile that I amassed in 2016. I don’t think I will ever get through the entire thing, and I know that most of you drop a lot of your books on your TBR when the new year comes, because let’s face it, new books are shiny and too distracting to go back to old books and read them instead. It’s a curse, it causes money problems, but it also makes us up to date to what’s happening in our favourite world. The Book nerdigan kingdom, I like to call it.

So here is what I am going to do. I am going to go through the list that I put up yesterday that had all 30 books I didn’t get around to reading last year and only pick the ones I think, or know I will get to reading this year, and see how fast it can grow out of control.

Doable TBR Pile January:

  • Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
  • Where Am I Now? By Mara Wilson*
  • Graffitti Moon by Cath Crowley
  • Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses by Carole Matthews
  • Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

These are the first 5 books I am going to tackle this month/year.

I’m going to call this TBR pile my Doable TBR and even though I am going to continue reading what I want and buy what I want. I will keep two TBR lists, a full list with all the books I have brought and haven’t read yet or read all the way through, and a second list, to write down the books I will get through for the month or read after posting this.

Hopefully I won’t get to the end of 2017 with another 30 books on my TBR pile and get through more books than 2016.

TBR Pile for September/ October

In September I read 6 books.

You can see which books they were by scrolling down a little bit and finding my September 2016 Book Haul & Reading List Wrap Up post, just down there.

I read a lot of books this month, brought a lot, was given some and yet I didn’t end up taking anything off my TBR, which is still growing.

Here is my current and up to date TBR pile:

  • Yellow by Megan Jacobson
  • Frankie by Shivaun Plozza
  • Where Everything Feels Like the Movies by Raziel Reid*
  • The Enchanted Island by Ellie O’Neill*
  • I Sang For My Supper by Margaret Fulton*
  • Mia Culpa by Mia Freedman
  • The Chocolate Promise by Josephine Moon
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  • Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
  • Wedding Night by Sophia Kinsella *
  • One Would Think The Deep By Claire Zorn *
  • The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee*
  • With Malice by Eileen Cook
  • The Perfectionist by Sara Shepard
  • V for Violet by Alison Rattle
  • Bullet Catcher by Joaquin Lowe
  • By Your Side by Jason Carrasco*

  • Demon Road by Derek Landy
  • The Bone Season by Samantha Season
  • Lady Helen by Alison Goodman
  • Zeros by Scott Westfeld
  • Bro by Helen Chebatte

I set reading goals for September but that all changed when I got a job and started reading different books. I have however made a list of books coming out in October that I want to read and buy, but I think if I write them here it will kind of jinx them, so I won’t. You can find out what I am reading as I post them on here or on my Goodreads.
