Book Reviews

Well, I guess you have found my landing page for all things ‘Book Review’. Don’t worry you are really close to the actual reviews, I promise.

I’m a booknerd and have a very large collection of books that is only ever growing. So I thought I would share my thoughts and opinions on the books I read. I will pretty much read anything, as long as it is good. Note, I am a bit of a slow reader, so bare with me sometimes.

My preferred genres are: young adult, romance, biography, and adult fiction.

I have created a rating system which I call ‘Booky Stars’ that allows me to grade and show my readers how I felt about the books I read. It goes something like this:

1 booky star = not good

2 booky stars = not bad but could have been better

3 booky stars = was okay

4 booky stars = was good

5 booky stars = was bloody great

I also give away half stars and all the numbers in between, so you will find random dot points for some books. This is my way of saying I can’t give it a solid number and that there is a lot in the book to consider including my likes and dislikes and couldn’t stick it in one box for its rating.

My book reviews are my opinions and I will state if I have been given a book by a publishing house for an honest review, I will never lie to you about that.

Now if you know of a good book that I should read, leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you.

I hope you like my book reviews. Also you can find them as a collection in my 2015 Reading List page and 2016 Reading List page.

  1. Hi Giulietta

Could I send you my debut book for review?

It is the first part of a thrilling series, with 60 chapters each set in real time taking the reader 1 minute to read (hence Sixty Minute Reads series)

It is available on Kindle Unlimited or paperback here, but I am able to email you a PDF version if you’d prefer?

“Holly Holloway is locked in a dusty room, strapped to a ticking bomb.

What would you do, if you only had one hour left to live?”

    Thank you for your time
